Describe what Emmeline Grangerford did and what happened to her.
She kept a scrapbook with poems in it. She also painted a lot and Huck was very impressed. Emmeline died of a sickness while painting a picture of a lady jumping off a bridge.

Chapter 18
Describe the Feud.
Buck's family, the Grangerfords, are in a feud with the Shepherdsons. 30 years before Huck arrives at the house, a person in one of the families shot another and all the relatives were pulled in. This feud eventually leads to the deaths of almost all of the members of each family.
What happened when Harney rode by Huck and Buck?
Buck gets up and shoots at Harney. He misses but hits his hat. Harney chases after them on horseback but soon gives up the chase and returns for his hat.
Describe what led up to the death of almost all of the people in the feud.
Miss Sophia ran away to marry Harney. All of the Grangerfords followed her to catch her before she got over the river to where Harney was. The Shepherdsons were waiting in ambush and most of the people were killed. Buck and his cousin were bunched in a corner hiding from multiple Sheperdsons on horseback. They could not shoot them though. So they left and caught Buck and his cousin off guard, coming from behind them. In the end the 2 get shot and Huck tries to do a quick "funeral rite".

Explain how the two men met Huck and Jim
They were running away from some people with dogs and horses. Huck allowed them to climb in the boat and the dogs lost the scent and therefore the 2 men were saved.
Describe the young man.
The young man had been selling tartar remover that also took off the enamel. He said he was a duke because he was the rightful heir to the duke of Bridgewater. He was lying but Huck did not say anything.
Describe the old man.
The old man had been running a temperance revival and had been chased out of town by the people with the dogs. He would have been captured and tarred and feathered had it not been for Huck. He became jealous of how well Huck and Jim were treating the "Duke" and therefore pretended he was crying as well and claimed he was the rightful heir to the throne of France because he was the grandson of Louis XVI and therefore a king.
Chapter 20
What was decided on who sleeps where?
The Duke wanted to sleep in Huck's better bed. The king, though, disagreed. He said since he was of higher rank, he should get to sleep in the better bed. The Duke let in and slept in Jim's bed. Later on, Huck and Jim find out that the two men are spread out so much, that they themselves have to sleep outside and Huck gets washed overboard.
What did the King do in Parkville?
The King went to the meeting with Huck and they saw all the people crying and the preacher preaching. So the King takes advantage of the situation and runs up on the platform and let everyone know that he was a pirate from India, had lost his crew in a fight, lost all of his money here on a steamboat, had a revelation, and vowed to return to India to make all of the other pirates turn good. The villagers took pity upon him and wanted to help him. So at the end, the King had gotten $87.75.
What did the Duke do in Parkville?
The Duke went to a printing shop and printed things for others and got $10. Then he printed a flyer that stated that Jim was a runaway slave so that everytime anyone wanted to know why Jim was on board, the others could tie Jim up and show the flyer.

Chapter 18- Describe the Feud.
- Buck's family, the Grangerfords, are in a feud with the Shepherdsons. 30 years before Huck arrives at the house, a person in one of the families shot another and all the relatives were pulled in. This feud eventually leads to the deaths of almost all of the members of each family.
- What happened when Harney rode by Huck and Buck?
- Buck gets up and shoots at Harney. He misses but hits his hat. Harney chases after them on horseback but soon gives up the chase and returns for his hat.

- Miss Sophia ran away to marry Harney. All of the Grangerfords followed her to catch her before she got over the river to where Harney was. The Shepherdsons were waiting in ambush and most of the people were killed. Buck and his cousin were bunched in a corner hiding from multiple Sheperdsons on horseback. They could not shoot them though. So they left and caught Buck and his cousin off guard, coming from behind them. In the end the 2 get shot and Huck tries to do a quick "funeral rite".

- The young man had been selling tartar remover that also took off the enamel. He said he was a duke because he was the rightful heir to the duke of Bridgewater. He was lying but Huck did not say anything.

- The old man had been running a temperance revival and had been chased out of town by the people with the dogs. He would have been captured and tarred and feathered had it not been for Huck. He became jealous of how well Huck and Jim were treating the "Duke" and therefore pretended he was crying as well and claimed he was the rightful heir to the throne of France because he was the grandson of Louis XVI and therefore a king.
Chapter 20- What was decided on who sleeps where?
- The Duke wanted to sleep in Huck's better bed. The king, though, disagreed. He said since he was of higher rank, he should get to sleep in the better bed. The Duke let in and slept in Jim's bed. Later on, Huck and Jim find out that the two men are spread out so much, that they themselves have to sleep outside and Huck gets washed overboard.

- The King went to the meeting with Huck and they saw all the people crying and the preacher preaching. So the King takes advantage of the situation and runs up on the platform and let everyone know that he was a pirate from India, had lost his crew in a fight, lost all of his money here on a steamboat, had a revelation, and vowed to return to India to make all of the other pirates turn good. The villagers took pity upon him and wanted to help him. So at the end, the King had gotten $87.75.
